The education component of the programme is designed to be learner focused and provides short modules relevant in content to the needs of the group. The programme is divided into short modules ranging in duration from six to twelve weeks. This allows for on-going evaluation and review of the training delivered and participants needs. Importance is placed on building life skills and on personal development.

The project espouses the principles and practice of adult education with the aim that the programme may be a starting point for participants in accessing and engaging in the process of Lifelong Learning. The programme works to assist and support participants to the point where they can access mainstream educational options or employment.

Although the focus varies in each phase, from a therapeutic viewpoint, the educational element continues throughout the complete programme, which results in each participant engaging in all modules irrespective of when they join the programme.
