Art Exhibition
Another important day is our annual Art Exhibition which was held on 19th October 2011. The exhibition showcased artwork completed by our participants throughout the year.  It was a terrific opportunity for our group to show off some of these fantastic pieces of art work and talent. Some of the pieces were bought by the visitors on the day.
As part of the Tallaght Social Inclusion event which was organised by the South Dublin County Council the participants’ work was displayed in the SDCC foyer for one week from 7th November till 11th November.

Hope and Remembrance Service
TRP in conjunction with the Tallaght Drugs Task Force and other local projects held the annual Hope and Remembrance service in a marquee in the grounds of Kiltalown House on Thursday 20th October 2011. This service was in memory of the men and women of the Tallaght wide community who have passed away from drug and alcohol addiction and gave their family and friends an opportunity to remember them. We had a huge turnout on the night; it was attended by participants of local projects and their family members, staff, management and local dignitaries. The service included poems, songs and speeches and the musical group Blush provided background music.

Family Support
TRP has successfully attained funding and recently recruited a family support therapist in order for us to achieve our long standing goal of providing a Family Support service to family members and significant others of all participants who avail of our programmes. The 14 week support group is now in operation and is facilitated by a professional family support therapist. Our goal is to eventually have an ongoing peer led support group weekly at Kiltalown House.

Awards Ceremony

We held our Annual Awards Ceremony on Friday 9th of December at 7.00pm. This event was held to celebrate all the hard work undertaken by the participants of T.R.P. throughout the year. 19 people in total received certificates from both the Day Programme and Aftercare Programme. From these 19 people 12 received special awards to mark their drug/alcohol free status.
There was a great turn out to this event with over 55 guests including participants, staff and family members. Refreshment was served in the aftercare and a DJ played through out the evening.  A great evening was had by all.

 Christmas Family Day
The Christmas Family day was held at T.R.P. on 16th December for the participants and their children. Santa arrived with bobbie the the elf to find out what the children wanted for christmas and to give them all a present. We also had facepainting, music and refreshments for this occasion. This day was a huge success and T.R.P. would like to thank all local shops and businesses for their generosity in supporting this day with crisps, confectionary and prizes. This day would not have been such a success without this help.
