Tallaght Rehabilitation Project CLG
Rehabilitation and Recovery Garden Project
Rehabilitation and Recovery Garden Project
To mark our 20th Anniversary (1997 - 2017) we wish to acknowledge all the people who have graduated the services of Tallaght Rehabilitation Project over the years and have gone on to live normal and extraordinary lives free from addictions.
This will be a garden project within the community of Jobstown Tallaght, to celebrate the rehabilitation and recovery of people whose lives and the lives of their loved ones have been positively changed by the Tallaght Rehabilitation Project rehabilitation and aftercare programmes. This garden will be a place for Tallaght Rehabilitation Project graduates and their families and friends to come and visit. Part of the plan will include a wall where people can write something and it will be a wall of inspiration and affirmations. It will also be a motivation for people starting on their road to recovery.
As can be seen from the photos below, we need to do a lot of work to make a garden. We plan to do this as a project with help by volunteers from the local community but we need the following materials;
Bricks and concrete for a perimeter wall, 2 gates, top soil, moss peat, grass seed, 4 ton of stone chippings, garden tools, health & safety work wear, wheel barrows, garden ornaments, a wall of inspiration and affirmation (paint etc.), garden benches, a parasol, flowers, fruit trees, fire pit and a water feature etc.
It is also visualised that the Rehabilitation and Recovery Garden will be accessible from our aftercare services and we plan to launch this in early 2017.
