As a specialist rehabilitation programme, the primary focus and engagement for participants is on the therapeutic process of recovery. This is partially achieved through education. The programme provides opportunities to develop a range of skills, both specific to our target group and relevant to broad personal and life skills development, all of which are transferable and relevant to a workplace environment. The programme incorporates a range of modules comprised of two main components: therapeutic and educational/life skills, these modules are specifically chosen with the needs of the target group in mind. The TRP staff team facilitate all aspects of therapeutic interventions and some educational/life skills elements, while outside trainers/tutors facilitate the remaining education/life skills modules which are either certified or FETAC accredited where possible.

Last year in mid December for the first time in the history of TRP we held an awards night where all the hard work and effort of our Day Programme participants was officially recognised by the staff and management of TRP. All participants were awarded a personalised folder containing certificates; FETAC or otherwise, for all training they engaged in throughout their year on the programme. The night was a huge success and we have decided to make it an annual event on the TRP calendar.
